  1. And when the Twitted fad is over…then what? :)

  2. Twitter that is. :)

  3. Will things still be posted here as well? I’m not buying into the twitter thing either.

Also, and this is not meant to be rude to all those who dig their twitter-bles (or whatever they call them), why make your lives even more complicated? Isn’t maintaining this web site enough work?

  4. Yes, things will be posted here. This is still the center of Drummer Talk on the internet. Twitter is an additional way to keep up with DT. You don’t have to follow it if you don’t want to.

  5. I think we’re seeing a bit of a Twitter backlash.

  6. I’m not a Twitter freak but nor am I a Twitter hater either. It has its uses and easily communicating with large groups of people is one of them. Thanks for making up your own minds Dave/Carter. As long as DT.org is THE place for updates, everything else (MySpace, Facebook, Twitter etc.) is useful and helps get what I honestly believe to be one of the best websites on the net noticed by a wider audience. Unless anyone wants to keep this as just our cosy little club, I see nothing bad in that. There are also things Twitter can do that most websites such as DT.org can’t, such as send an SMS whenever certain Twitter feeds are updated (I have it set to send me one whenever the DrummerTalk feed is updated) and automatically update your Facebook status. But Twitter is just another tool on the web, not THE ‘killer app’ some Twitter fans will have you believe. Using Twitter will help ‘spread the word’ and that’s reason enough to rise above the hating.
