This makes me drool. Taye's unveiling a new finish for their BeBop kits. This classic walnut finish is seriously mouth-watering. Maybe it's because I've been playing and listening to a lot of jazz recently, but my favorite part of this kit besides the finish is the 18"x14" kick drum. Looks marvelous. Bet it sounds great too! Always been impressed with how Taye's kits sound. They do great work. Source: Harmony-Central.com Taye Drums' introduction of their new BeBop ...

For the upcoming tour with his new supergroup, Chickenfoot, Chad Smith is pulling out all the stops. He's been known to go over the top in kit design before, a couple times. This time around is no exception. Smith's teamed up with Orange County Chopper motorcycle artist Nub. No... that's really his name. The kit looks pretty flippin' sweet. Not a bad design. Check it our here.

Taye, in an ever-increasing effort to make a bigger splash in the drum market, has released two new pedals. Nothing special at first glance, however, I'm a big fan of Taye and I think the company will continue to get better and better as the years go on. Source: Harmony-Central.com New for 2009 is the PSK701C single pedal and PSK702C double pedal. This new pedal brings a new level of toughness in the texture coated frames; the ...

Good things in the works from our friends at Taye (pronounced TIE). Their new Studio Birch kit looks amazing. Taye makes great drums. I remember being very impressed with Jim Payne's Taye kit at PASIC 2006. What I think is interesting is that they have several different bass drum sizes. 24" x 16" would be awesome! Source: Harmony-Central.com and Tayedrums.com Taye Drums is introducing an all new line of drums, StudioBirch. With 7 plies of 100% Premium ...

Our friends across the pond at Mike Dolbear have just posted a cool interview with Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer, Chad Smith.  The interview covers his roots, his origins in the RHCP, and moving to California. What we’re trying to do, is move the whole thing away from ‘what drum sticks do you use?’ type of question. So… what drum sticks do you use? It’s not working Bob! Ok, I’ll try again. What got you into drumming? I started ...
