What .. “Toul”?  What exactly is Toul?  Turns out, Soul Toul is one of Japan’s top drummers.

For a long time, I have wanted to produce a snare drum with a great sound and an affordable price,” says Soul. Soul’s impressive drumming career has spanned genres including rock, pop, jazz, and wind orchestra. He is one of the most famous and highly respected drummers in Japan, and a huge influence on drummers throughout the country. He said that in his over 30-years as a professional drummer, he noticed the importance for young drummers to be able to get quality equipment at a price they could afford. So TAMA and Soul conducted a lot of research and trials in an attempt to fulfill his wish. And finally, we have developed the new “Customized Bearing Edge.” With this breakthrough development, the Soul Toul snare drum offers solid, warm tones and rich expressiveness.
