Red Hot Chili Peppers are No More

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more non-Chilis drumming action from Chad Smith, following the announcement from Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ frontman Anthony Keidis that the band has temporarily disbanded.
Talking to Rolling Stone magazine, Keidis has said that: “We’re disbanded for the moment. We actually took a very long time to make the Stadium Arcadium record, because we wrote a lot of songs and then got way too married to them and decided we need it to be a double album. Which was a great experience, but it took forever. We were all emotionally and mentally zapped at the end of that run. Cooler heads prevailed and the discussion at the end of our last tour was, ‘Let’s not do anything Red Hot Chili Peppers-related for a minimum of one year, and just live and breathe and eat and learn new things.’”

I think you are jumping the gun to say that they are no more. If you read the article Keidis says that they are disbanded for the moment. And if you read the the full article at Rolling Stone.com http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/20861357/qa_anthony_kiedis/2
Keidis goes on to say that he is starting to get intrested in peices of song ideas again.
Chad Smith joining a jazz band? Great player, just not for a jazz band. But hey, I’ve never seen/heard him play jazz so what do I know.
For the record .. it was Rhythm Mag that said they broke up.
