Yeah, I talked about this on yesterday’s show. When I say A-list, it has more to do with historical, and over-reaching impact (or dare I say, “celebrity”) in the drumming scene.

I have no doubt that he’s an amazing drummer — otherwise he wouldn’t have been invited to perform — but compare Gavin Harrison’s resume with that of Simon Phillips.

It’s not about prowess. It’s about how big you are in the drumming community.

Gavin will probably get there… but he ain’t there yet.

I’m sorry, “Phillips to be the only A-list”?
You seriously need to look into Gavin Harrison, and you’d see not only how much playing prowess he has but also how much studio credential he has.
I, for one, cannot wait to see his performance.
