Hey Dave (and crew). I've had an iPod for awhile now, and didn't want to supplant all the songs I've painstakingly loaded into it. (Manually, didn't want to go for the automatic sync.) Anyway, I finally got sick of 1000 songs and decided to get into podcasting. You guys were one of three I've subscribed to. Good stuff. It was great to listen to you in the car on the way to work. Can't wait for the next installment.

Mark G.
(drummer for Bullet Daze www.bulletdaze.com)

Dave,
Just wanted to say I enjoyed your pod cast on the Pearl Ref. series drums. I've always liked the sound of Pearl drums pretty well, I'm just not that crazy about Pearls tom arms for their kits. They can be pretty cumbersome. Anyway, the real reason I wrote was to ask a question about the Ref. series. I've never seen a set of these in person, and I was just wandering does this kit compare as far as weight goes to Premiers Signia model drums?
If you get a chance get back with me on this.
Thanks.

God bless
Mark

Dave,
I'm a drummer/teacher/composer in Atlanta, GA. I enjoyed your first podcast immensely! Very entertaining while on my morning 2-mile walk (got to keep in shape to play those tubs!). At first I thought it was just going to be a bunch of drummers sitting around talking about which drums/cymbals/sticks are the cooooolest(!), but it was both entertaining and informative (I play Pearl drums and I didn't know any details about the Reference series until listening to your show).

Keep up the good work and keep those podcasts coming! I'm going to hip all my students to it, as well.

Terry

Dave,
I am brand new to Podcasts and yours was one of four new podcasts I subscribed to. I am 19 years old and have been playing drums since I was about 12 years old. Recently with school I have found myself short on time to play but your show def. lit a spark for me. My first thoughts when seeing your podcast listed was this is going to be boring but it was very interesting and kept my attention the whole time! Very professional as well! The humor was great as well. Keep them coming, I can assure you I will be listening and I will tell all my drummer and musician friends about the show. Thanks for such a great idea. Peace -Wes-

Hey Dave,

I was excited to find your podcast. I played drums and symphonic percussion professionally for 12 years in eastern Canada and New England. I do commercial photography now but still play as much as possible. I do a Podcast as well. It's called The Zedcast ('cause Canadians say Zed) http://www.Zedcast.com I do some music talk but mostly it's a variety show. Check it out if you get the chance.

In the mean time I'm totally subscribed to Drummer Talk and you've got my vote at Podcast Alley! The content was great: Moby Dick! 50 Ways! Oh Yeah! The round-table format worked great, and the audio quality is right on! Props to Kirk [Kleansound] Smith (I didn't hear the phone cast)

Rock on guys! - Bruce Murray, Zedcast@GMail.com
