Everyone should have business cards. I mean, everyone. If you’re at all interested in promoting yourself or getting work/gigs, then it behooves (what a strange word, btw) you to have a business card handy. Why get them, you may ask? Let me preface this entire entry by declaring that metronomes are a VITAL tool for any musician. And it’s not something you outgrow – you will always want to practice with a click of some sort, so this post is NOT about that.

I’ve been recording quite a bit lately and I’ve come to realize several things about my playing and my perception of time and music. Strap on your philosophy helmets, boys and girls, this is going to get bumpy.

You ever have the moment when you know for a fact that the days of carelessly living through life were over, and you realized you’re all grown up? Well, I just arrived at that point today.
